HISTORY
Far Eastern Private School (FEPS) is founded by Mr. Ahmed Al Ansari and Madam Maria Teresa Sales Al Ansari in 2001 in Sharjah, the third largest city in the United Arab Emirates after Dubai and Abu Dhabi and known as the center for culture and industry.
The first branch of FEPS is located in Al Shahba, Sharjah, UAE. In order to cater to the needs of Filipino students in the UAE and provide affordable quality education, FEPS has adopted the Philippine curriculum. The school offers the following levels of education: Pre-Elementary, Elementary, and Secondary Education. FEPS – Al Shahba Campus is one of the pioneering Philippine schools in the region.
Due to the growing demand and increasing number of Filipinos and other nationalities in the UAE, the FEPS management has decided to expand, and open another branch in Sharjah in 2016.
On August 29, 2016, the FEPS – Azra campus opened with a population of 551 students during the School Year 2016-2017. The FEPS Azra campus offers co-educational up to grade 4 only. From Grade 5 to Grade 12, the education provided is exclusively for female students only.
In 2017, the FEPS – Al Azra was visited by the representatives of the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to conduct the initial ocular inspection of the newly-opened school. On 29 November 2017, the FEPS-Al Azra was issued Government Permit No. 01 by the DepEd.
In 2020, in order to accommodate the growth of the FEPSIAN Filipino community, Far Eastern Private School has transferred to Al Halwan Campus. The school is also located in Sharjah and welcomes students from Kindergarten to Senior High School. FEPS branch. FEPS Halwan Campus is for BOYS and GIRLS Grades KG to 12.
